Black Brazilian Family Have Three White-Skinned Children!
Rosamere Fernanda de Andrade panicked when she first held her newborn baby daughter. She was convinced her baby girl was switched in the Brazilian maternity ward and that someone was playing a trick on her. You see, Rosamere and her ex-husband Joao are both black — but when the nurses showed them their daughter Ruth, the two were absolutely shocked: Ruth had snow-white skin, blonde hair and ocean-blue eyes. The new parents grew even more confused when they learned there was no baby mix-up at all. Ruth was indeed their biological child, but how on earth could this be?! As it turns out, Ruth was born with a rare genetic condition called albinism. As a result, she has no pigment in her skin, hair, or eyes. People with albinism suffer from a wide range of medical issues, such as extreme nearsightedness or farsightedness, light sensitivity and increased susceptibility to infections. Thinking it was just a fluke, Rosamere had two more children… and it wasn’t until she had her third baby that she made a stunning realization.
