Photographer Joshua Nowicki's video of the winter wonderland has taken over the internet!
As a "polar vortex" sweeps across the United States, forcing us to huddle inside next to a crackling fire (with wine, of course) it's easy to curse the snow and ice, praying for warmer days when we can venture outside without layers. Granted, this kind of cold isn't particularly fun and certainly not conducive to maintaining a tan, but we shouldn't be praying for spring just yet. We can thank the polar vortex for one thing — some incredible scenery across the country, like this ice-covered lighthouse in St. Joseph, Michigan. The structure, located on the southwest shores of Lake Michigan, looks like an ice castle the belongs in Narnia. Or Frozen, depending on what generation you belong to.
